Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is a generic term that refers to various styles of yoga that combine asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation. The word ‘hatha’ is a compound of the Sanskrit words ha (meaning ‘sun’) and tha (meaning ‘moon’), and Hatha yoga teaches a balanced approach to achieving physical and mental wellbeing and equanimity.
